Join the Young Democrats of Ward 2 and 6 for a panel to discuss how to reduce housing costs in Washington DC.
Thursday, April 20, 2023
Martin Luther King Jr. Library
901 G Street NW, Room 401-D
6:00 PM
Our panel will be made up of Alex Bacca, DC Policy Director for Greater Greater Washington; Will Merrifield, Founder of the Center for Social Housing and Investment and 2020 candidate for an At-Large seat on the D.C. Council; Leonard Edwards from Bread for The City; and Sheila Reid, President & CEO of Avanti Real Estate Services and former Chair of the DC Board of Zoning Adjustment.
The panelists all share the goal of reducing housing costs for the residents of DC, but come from different perspectives on how to do that. You won't want to miss this informative and lively discussion on just what we need to do to make DC a place people can afford to live in. Audience questions welcome! We will engage in the panel discussion from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM, and move to Urban Roast across the street for a happy hour at 7:00 PM to continue the conversation in a more casual environment.
