Ward 2 Democrats:

Thank you to all the Ward 2 residents that joined us April 11 for the board election happy hour and drive to benefit N Street Village. On behalf of my colleagues, thank you for your vote.

The following individuals will be leading the Ward 2 Democrats through October 2025:

  • Chair: Juan Ulloa

  • Vice Chair: Monica Roaché, Ph.D.

  • Treasurer: China Dickerson

  • Corresponding Secretary: Howard Garrett

  • Recording Secretary: Walter Springman

We also welcome Yilin Zhang as the new Ward 2 Committeewoman to the DC Democratic Party, who will be completing the term of Janice Ferebee. Our thanks to both of these remarkable, dedicated community members.

I wish to thank Councilmember Brooke Pinto, DC Democratic Party Chairman Charles Wilson, Ward 8 Democrats Chair Troy Donté Prestwood and all the candidates for elected office that joined us. Apart from a smooth election, led by the steady hand of Ward 2 Committeeperson Brian Romanowski and volunteers from across the District, we were able to collect a few hundred personal items for women of N Street Village.

As we acknowledge Emancipation Day today, we must remind ourselves that we are heading into what is probably the most consequential presidential election cycle in the last 30 years. Our civil and personal liberties, even the very history of this nation, is at risk. We are the only ones that can do anything about it.

Let us double our efforts to engage in the upcoming DNC delegate, local and national elections. Every vote matters, every vote must be counted and the will of Democrats must be heard loud and clear this April, June and November.

Thank you,
Juan Ulloa
Chair, Ward 2 Democrats
